Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Liminate family of products served at liminate.dev — Receipts, Agreements, and Mood Ring (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1The Services
Receipts runs prose contracts through the Liminate interpreter to produce deterministic verification results. Agreements lets you define standards and evaluate evidence against them. Mood Ring produces a reading from a journal entry. The interpreter is mechanical: it reports whether declared checks pass or fail against the text you supply.
2Accounts
Some features require signing in via GitHub. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your API keys confidential. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (and at least 13).
3Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services to violate any law or infringe others' rights;
- Submit content you have no right to submit, or that is unlawful or harmful;
- Attempt to break, overload, probe, or circumvent the Services, their rate limits, or their security;
- Resell or redistribute the Services except as expressly permitted;
- Use automated means to access the Services in a way that disrupts them.
4Your content
You retain ownership of the contracts, agreements, entries, and other content you submit. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the Services to you. We do not use your content to train models. You are responsible for the legality and accuracy of what you submit. Our handling of your content is described in the Privacy Policy.
5Our intellectual property
The Liminate language, interpreter, vocabulary, the Services, and their look and feel are owned by us or our licensors. The published liminate package and certain components are released under their own open-source licenses; those licenses govern that code. Nothing here grants you rights to our trademarks or branding.
6Plans & billing
Some features are paid. Payments are handled by PayPal. Prices, plan limits, and credit terms are shown in the product. Subscriptions renew until cancelled. Refunds and cancellations are governed by the Refund & Billing Policy.
7No professional advice
8Disclaimer of warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet your requirements.
9Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Liminate and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Services in the three months before the claim, or USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
10Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Liminate and its operator from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Services, or your breach of these terms.
11Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time and may delete your content and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or to protect the Services. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity) will survive.
12Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will revise the "Last updated" date, and material changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
13Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located there, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
